Learn about Jan Sensei ➜
Jan Nevelius is a senior Aikido teacher based in Vanadis Aikido Dojo in Stockholm, Sweden, and author of the book Vaken Vila.
He began his study of Aikido in the 1970s and trained intensively in Japan in the 1980s. He considers his principal teachers to be Seishiro Endo Shihan (8th dan • Saku, Japan), and Christian Tissier Shihan (8th dan • France). Jan Sensei emphasizes Musubi (connection), soft ukemi, and an approach to Aikido as never-ending research.
